Yes.com

Ever been driving down the street, hear a song, loved it but didn't know who sang it. So you wait patiently for the DJ to give you the info.. and nothin.
Well here's a solution. Yes.com.
1. Enter the site and in the upper left corner there is a zip code box.
2. Enter your zip code.
3. Next will pop up a list of radio stations in your area.
4. Pick one.
5. You'll get the current list of songs that were played.
6. You can go back and pick times and find the song you heard, get the info..
7. And link to iTunes to buy the album.

8. AWESOME!!

Online Karaoke

I'm actually really fortunate. All of my friends that sing karaoke, can sing really good. The problem is, waiting for them to sing - and having to sit through the yahoo's that have no business being up there..
So if your lucky enough to not have a "karaoke night" at your local bar, or have too much time on your hands, here's something for you: SingShot.com: Online Karaoke! Sign up, find a song, record it and post it. Members rate your performance. You'll be amazed at the song list - and the words come up just like real karaoke. If any of ya'll sign up, let me know!! Enjoy.

So last night was the Toledo Mud Hens game. It was pretty fun. The Hens won 4-3. We decided to cut one activity out of today - the Erie St. market. I had planned on doing my morning run early, then heading to the market for some veggies - but I slept in.
Soon we'll be off to the Michigan Beer Festival! More pictures to come.
Here's a video from last nights game.

Michigan Beer Fest 2006

Michigan Beer Fest 2005

This is a reminder to all of you who plan on attending the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival this Saturday, July 22.
Tickets are $30 in advance (prior to Thursday 12 a.m.) and can be purchased here. Tickets for Saturday are $35 at the door. Designated Driver tickets are $5 at the door.

To sum this up for those of you that haven't attended, it's a day of taste testing Michigan beers. The ticket price weeds out the normal party-festival-goers.. so it's always been an amazing beer-friendly crowd. Everyone is there for one thing, and I always meet a ton of cool people. It is pretty warm in the sun, but it's ohhh so worth it. If you want to go, and meet up with me - send me a gmail or post a comment. We'll get in touch and hang out for the day. Jen and I will be heading out there sometime before noon. Here's last years review: Beer Fest 2005
Here's some more info:

Beer making demo at 1 p.m. (more info here).

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Rainbow

I'm blogging this so I can go back and watch it later. I think I'm going to rename my blog to "Stuff KC sends me".. KC is my buddy from Denver (formerly Ohio) that currently has some time on his hands and always sends some good links.
I actually tried this before, back in my curious days - and it was pretty spooky how much it matched up.
Check out this site for the list of things to look for. Enjoy!!

It's glorious isn't it?!

I actually don't have one yet, but this picture is to show my wife exactly what one looks like. My plan is to give her $20, and have her go to the beer store near her work that is selling these and pick me up one. I feel after my hard work cleaning the kitchen this past weekend, I deserve the favor. :) Apparently these aren't that easy to come by - and are selling like hot cakes. You better believe I'll drink the contents of it - and save the can to display proudly on the television.
Hey Jen - could you pick me up some beef jerky while your at it?! Ok, nevermind.. just the beer will do. Thanks!!

Toledo trip

Farmers market - toledo oh

Famers market was hopping this morning. We picked up some hot peppers, onions, mushrooms, zuch's, a cantelope..and of couse, more hot peppers. I didn't believe one guy that his peppers were hot, so he gave me one to try. After choking back tears and mustering up some sound out of my throat, I said "i'll take them!"..
Afterward we cruised through town and ate breakfast at the Summit St. diner. The food was ok, but the food took forever to bring out.
We cruised up Lagrange and drove right up to the Polish festival that was starting in a few minutes. It was very cool. Polka, beer, pirogi's.. you can't ask for anything better!
